About Tom Heinzle

The Vorarlberg-born chef was born with a good sense of taste and smell: Playing with flavours and high-quality food is exactly his thing.

As a culinary free spirit, the barbecue pro and book author reinterprets barbecuing - and creates extraordinary barbecue menus with his own barbecue style.

He is an exceptional phenomenon on the barbecue horizon and is regarded as one of the best fire cooks.

Tom also remains true to his own style as a book author: his first book "Wintergrillen" was published in 2012. This made Tom one of the first to position barbecuing as a year-round topic.

His second book "Wild grilling" followed at the beginning of August 2014, which was honoured with the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and the silver medal of the German Gastronomic Academy.

The barbecue expert is now on the market with his 8th book "Wild gegrillt", which has once again been honoured with the Worlds Cook Book Awards.

Tom Heinzle gives barbecue courses throughout the German-speaking world, is booked at food festivals, is present at gourmet fairs and spoils his guests at high-class chef's tables.

Tom also loves purist barbecuing directly on a fire in the countryside or in a hole in the ground.

There is no fire that Tom cannot tame.
