Whether it’s camping, hiking, fishing, or playing games and sports in the garden—the market for such leisure activities is growing. Major travel providers are seeing growing interest in local microadventures and urban experiences. Furthermore, surveys of travellers highlight outdoor experiences, physical challenges, and exploring nature as top priorities. The desire for eco-friendly and sustainable leisure activities can also be fulfilled through short trips into nature and the surrounding area.

spoga+gafa 2026 is responding to the trend toward microadventures with its new “Outdoor Adventure” theme area. From June 22 to 24, this space will showcase products, brands, and concepts that blend outdoor activities with modern lifestyles. New opportunities are also opening up for the BBQ community: outdoor cooking is being reimagined in the context of travel, nature, and experience. With the staging of a converted camper as part of the “Road to Outdoor Adventure,” a hands-on meeting place is also being created here. In this way, the trade show addresses some of the most important megatrends of our time: the desire for mental balance and for individual experiences beyond the mainstream.
