New year, new standards - a good reason to raise a glass! On January 1, 2025, the revised EN 1860 - Appliances, solid fuels and ignition aids for barbecuing officially came into force. Behind this are four years of intensive work and close exchange within the industry - with a clear goal: to raise safety, quality and enjoyment when barbecuing to a new level.

Under the motto “Setting Standards for Unforgettable BBQ Nights”, the Barbecue Industry Association Grill e.V. (BIAG) cordially invites to a champagne breakfast with information event. The association members, DIN Certco GmbH and Ruhr Lab GmbH, who will award certifications according to this standard in the future, will provide exciting insights into the new requirements and opportunities for the industry during the event.
